e-Health Sensor Platform Kit

e-Health Sensor Platform Complete Kit allows to get a complete First Aid Kit for Makers. It includes:

  • e-Health Sensor Shield for Arduino and Raspberry Pi
  • Pulse and oxygen in blood sensor (SPO2)
  • Airflow sensor (breathing)
  • Body temperature sensor
  • Electrocardiogram sensor (ECG)
  • Glucometer sensor
  • Galvanic skin response sensor (GSR - sweating)
  • Blood pressure sensor (sphygmomanometer) V2.0
  • Patient position sensor (Accelerometer)
  • Electromyography Sensor (EMG)

Information from various sensors can be used to monitor in real time the state of a patient or to get sensitive data in order to be subsequently analysed for medical diagnosis. Biometric information gathered can be wirelessly sent using any of the 6 connectivity options available: Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS, Bluetooth, 802.15.4 and ZigBee depending on the application

e-Health Sensor Shield for Arduino and Raspberry Pi
The e-Health Sensor Shield allows Arduino and Raspberry Pi users to perform biometric and medical applications where body monitoring is needed by using 9 different sensors.
Pulse and oxygen in blood sensor (SPO2)
The Pulse and Oxygen in Blood Sensor (SPO2) allows you to measure the amount of Oxygen dissolved in blood.
Airflow sensor (breathing)
The Airflow Sensor allows to monitor the patient's breathing (airflow rate)
Body temperature sensor
The Body Temperature Sensor allows you to measure this key parameter for body monitorin
Electrocardiogram sensor (ECG)
The Electrocardiogram Sensor (ECG or EKG) allows you to asses the electrical and muscular functions of the heart.
Glucometer sensor
The Glucometer Sensor allows the user to measure the approximate concentration of glucose in blood.
Galvanic skin response sensor
The Galvanic Skin Response Sensor (GSR - Sweating) allows you to measure the electrical conductance of the skin. It acts as an indicator of psychological or physiological arousal
Blood Pressure Sensor
The Blood Pressure Sensor (Sphygmomanometer) allows the user to monitor the pressure of the blood against the arteries as the heart pumps
Patient position sensor
The Partient Position Sensor allows the user to monitor five different patient positions using a triple axis accelerometerl
Electromyography Sensor
The Electromyography Sensor (EMG) allows the user to measure the electrical activity of muscles. It can be used as a control signal for prosthetic devices.

Please NOTE that The e-Health Sensor Platform has been designed in order to help researchers, developers and artists to measure biometric sensor data for experimentation, fun and test purposes. However, as the platform does not have medical certifications it can not be used to monitor critical patients who need accurate medical monitoring or those whose conditions must be accurately measured for an ulterior professional diagnosis.
